If you have a degree then it’s not worth it. (As a reference point, I am relatively comfortable with Creo and VERY comfortable with Inventor.)ġ: Would AutoCAD courses and certifications be useful for my resume in general?ĢA: If certification is appropriate, which one would be the "highest ranking" that would be feasible to obtain after learning how to use AutoCAD through online courses?ĢB: Which series of online courses would be the best fit for me, if I am essentially starting over in terms of knowledge of the program? (Self-paced learning is the only feasible format.) Though I still have the book, that was six years ago, so I forgot almost everything, and I bet there's been enough changes that I'd need a different source material. I went through a beefy textbook that taught me how to use the program and went through the whole thing right after graduating college. I never had the opportunity to use the program in college. I'm currently on short term disability due to an injury I received at home, so I thought it would be a good idea to work on getting courses and certification in AutoCAD. Ideally, it would be a design engineering position, but not necessarily.

I don't have an engineering position right now (long story), but I'm trying to get one again.
